With the 2025 Sweetheart Ball held just a couple of weeks ago, the fundraising group of women that supports “cardiology research at UT Southwestern Medical Center” has already laid out plans for next year’s black-tie event.
First lady of the Kansas City Chiefs Tavia Hunt will chair the event.

According to Tavia, “It is my honor to continue the longstanding and distinguished tradition of The Sweetheart Ball. My family has been engaged in this event for many years and the opportunity to take the lead in this important fundraising is truly a privilege.”
She has already arranged for the philanthropic night of wining, dining and dancing to return to Brook Hollow Golf Club on Saturday, April 11.
Since 1982, when The Sweetheart Ball Founding Chair Laura Bayoud Hunt chaired the first gala, the event has provided more than $55M for UT Southwestern’s efforts for the prevention and treatment of heart disease.
